| Microbiological Testing: Foods |
 |
|
Bacteria are not visible to the naked eyes and some can grow and multiply rapidly in food products. A food product does not have to look, smell and taste bad to be potentially hazardous to health as food borne pathogenic bacteria can cause food poisoning. Microbiological testing on food products is an essential tool to evaluate good hygiene practices and safeguards public health. It is also mandatory for compliance with statutory and certification requirements such as Malaysian Food Act and HACCP Certification.
ACL analyze a variety of food products for the presence of a wide range of microbiological contaminants. Our competent and experienced microbiologists can isolate and identify food borne pathogenic bacteria, indicator and spoilage microorganisms as well as the mycological toxin.
ACL microbiological testing on food products is recognized by the following accreditation bodies and authorities:
| Department of Standards Malaysia. |
| Ministry of Health Malaysia for the issuing of Health Certificate in microbiological testing of food products. |
