Industrial Hygiene Monitoring:  Chemical Exposure
The use of chemicals as raw materials, handled, stored or released as by-products or manufactured is one of the most common hazards found in industries today. Uncontrolled exposure to the chemicals results in adverse health effects due to their inherent toxicity. The Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standards of Exposure of Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulations, 2000 requires employer to assess employee exposure to chemicals hazardous to health and to ensure the maintenance of adequate control of employees exposure so as to protect the health of employees and other persons at the place of work.

ACL has highly qualified and experienced hygiene technicians registered with the Department of Occupational Safety & Health to carry out occupational chemical exposure monitoring to help our clients:
  • Evaluate the work process and control measures to determine monitoring requirements and strategies.
  • Monitor indoor air quality and employees exposure for chemicals hazardous to health. The collected samples are analyzed by our laboratory, which is a SAMM ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
  • Provides recommendations on best practicable measures to control and reduce employees exposure to chemicals hazardous to health.
