I. Confidentiality

1. Does ACL commit to confidentiality?

Yes, ACL has and always committed to maintain strict confidentiality in all interactions with our customers or would-be customers. No analytical data, reports, opinions, discussions and other information are released to any third party without your permission.

2. Does ACL sign confidentiality agreement with customers?

Yes, confidentiality agreement will be signed willingly upon request to our management executives.

3. What if ACL is subpoenaed by a statutory body to disclose any confidential information?

ACL will make every effort to promptly notify you if ACL is subpoenaed to disclose any confidential information to a statutory body. In return, you will agree to respect our obligations to the statutory body.

4. Can I publish ACL name, analytical data, opinions and other information rendered by ACL?

We appreciate you agree not to use ACL name, analytical data, reports, opinions and other information rendered by us in any manner that might cause harm to our business and reputation. Under no circumstances is the name of ACL, analytical data, reports, opinions and other information rendered by ACL to be published, either alone or in association with that of any party, product or services without our written consent.

II. Customer

1. How to procure ACL services?

You can procure ACL services with written procurement order. The written procurement order must be in your company’s letterhead, or in ACL official quotation, which is duly signed and stamped by the customer.

2. Does ACL accept verbal procurement agreement?

No, a customer’s procurement order will only be valid with written procurement order by the customer.

3. Can I use previous procurement order for new procurement of ACL services?

No, each customer’s procurement order is a new contract and may not be subjected to the same terms & conditions of any previous contracts with the same customer. You shall issue new written procurement order to ACL for the new services you wish to procure from ACL.

III. Payment

1. Does ACL offer credit for first time customer?

Prepayment is required for first time customer prior to releasing of analytical results and reports, unless otherwise specified in our terms and conditions of sales agreed with customer.

2. What is the payment terms?

Our payment terms are net 30 days from the respective invoice date, unless otherwise specified in our terms and conditions of sales agreed with the customer. Delinquent accounts may be served on a C.O.D. basis at the discretion of ACL.

3. Does ACL charge extra or interest for late payment?

Late charges at a rate of 1.5% per month or such other rate as may be established in the invoice will be levied for any unpaid balance due to ACL.

4. Does ACL give discounts?

Discounts would be considered for bulk samples and depends on the frequency of samples submission.

IV. Pricing

1. How can I obtain prices for the services provided by ACL?

Prices for the services provided by ACL can be obtained from our Customer Care Representatives and Technical Advisers by telephone call, fax or e-mail.

2. What is the validity period for the prices quoted?

All prices quoted are valid for 30 days, unless otherwise specified in our terms and conditions of sales agreed with our customer.

3. Does ACL issue a official quotation??

Yes, an official quotation printed on ACL letterhead and duly signed by our Customer Care Representatives or Technical Advisers will be delivered to you by fax, e-mail or by-hand. The official quotation includes but not limited to the following:

  • Scope of services.
  • Prices for the respective services rendered.
  • Applicable shipping charges.
  • Applicable mobilization and/or demobilization charges.
  • Applicable taxes.
  • General terms and conditions of sales.

4. Does ACL commit to any verbal sales and purchased agreement (S&P)?

No, ACL will only commit to the scope of services, prices, other applicable charges, terms and conditions of sales stipulated in our official quotation or other official contractual agreement recognized by our management executives.

V. Samples

1. What type of container should I use for sampling?

The types of containers used for sampling purposes depend on the types of sample matrix to be collected and the parameters to be tested. Please contact our Technical Advisers for details.

2. Does ACL provide sample containers?

Yes, you may call our Technical Advisers to place an order for the containers. You can collect the containers at our laboratory or we can deliver to you by prior arrangement. Charges may apply for any containers requested by customers.

3. Do I need to label my samples?

Yes, you need to label your samples prior submission to us to avoid any uncertainty. Information needed include but not limited to the following:

  • Customer’s name
  • Sample description
  • Date and time of sampling
  • Preservatives added if any

4. Any other information I need to enclose with the samples?

We appreciate if you enclosed a written instruction that includes but not limited to the following information:

  • List of parameters to be analyzed
  • Reporting unit desired, i.e mg/l, mg/m3, mg/kg or etc
  • Serving size and package net weight for nutritional labeling Or you can use our Analysis Request Form.

5. Do I need to preserve my samples?

The need for preservation and types of preservatives needed depend on the type of sample matrix collected, parameters to be tested and period needed for the samples to reach ACL. Please contact our Technical Advisers for details.

6. Does ACL provide preservatives?

Yes, you may call our Technical Advisers to place an order for the preservatives needed. You can collect the preservatives at our laboratory or we can deliver to you by prior arrangement. Charges may apply for any preservatives requested by customers.

7. What is the best time to send my samples to ACL?

Please try to send your samples early in the week so that samples do not arrive on Saturday and Sunday.

8. Will ACL come and pick up my samples?

Yes, we can. Please contact our General Enquiry Representatives for arrangement. Charges may apply for any samples picked up at customer’s premises.

9. Will ACL come and carry out site sampling?

ACL has competent personnel to carry out site sampling for certain kind of samples. Please contact our Technical Advisers for details.

VI. Turnaround

1. What is the standard turnaround time?

Approximately 14 days from day of sample received or last day of site sampling. Standard turnaround time are meant to serve as a guide for routine sample analysis. We appreciate your understanding that certain conditions can have an impact on the turnaround time, i.e complexity of testing, equipment malfunctions and other unforeseen circumstances.

2. Will ACL notify me if the agreed turnaround time cannot be met?

Yes, we will make every effort to promptly notify you should we anticipate any possible delay.3. Can I hold ACL responsible for any loss incurred due to the delay?We appreciate your understanding that ACL will not be responsible for any loss incurred by customers or by any third party due to the delay.
